Background Yahoo! Enterprise Solutions was a start-up group within Yahoo! to service business needs of the Fortune 1000. Yahoo! worked with many partners including BEA Systems, SAP, Sun Microsystems, Novell, Oracle and Tibco Software. Challenge  Selling the Yahoo! mojo Develop software and services for corporate customers including portal software, instant messaging software. The portal software system offers an array of “portlets,” which allow users to drop links to industry news, stock quotes and Web-based applications into their own portal sites. My Yahoo Enterprise Edition was used by companies to consolidate and filter information from a range of sources into a single interface that can be seen by employees, customers and business partners. Solution While working for Yahoo! I managed client engagements such as MyFlorida.com (see case study). I also performed at public speaking engagements, developed software specifications, created professional service offerings, supported sales efforts, managed partners relationships, developed portal strategies, consulted on many portal project efforts.
